A Poet's Dilemma
Letting go of my agenda...
I suppose I could memorize a few of my poems, and maybe a few more by others. Then I could sit with an audience and recite these poems in a dark room that is slowly made warmer by the wisdom that emerges. I don’t know, perhaps one day. For now I’m content to let the words come in solitude, to scatter them on this page, then to let them go where they will, even if it’s nowhere in particular.
