Consumed
I have been forced to consume
much more than my fill
by an insatiable yearning
which was torn open inside of me
through a deluge of messages
telling me I needed more
and so easily could buy it.
Thus I have consumed too much,
and am now swollen
by too many calories,
too many possessions,
too much information.
This world has become
a polished mirror of my desire.
Now I sit alone every morning,
letting the silence consume my bloat,
so that I may take all I have devoured,
and return it lovingly
to this Earth.
