Being Human
I sing but often stumble on the words. Love sings but I don’t always like the melody. Still it is together we make music. And sometimes you can dance to it. At others you can sing along. Most of the time it’s an ambient tune looping in the background just loud enough to keep me moving as it propels me forward in infinite little crescendos and spare moments when a single note is the chasm between sound and silence, cold and hot, empty and full, unloved and loved. I am a seeker of stillness. My body is a verb and my soul the pause between adjectives.
