What do I know?
I thought I knew what today’s poem would be about. But only my soul knows, and cannot be called to task by my fearful mind or my angry gut demanding to know answers, demanding some meaning, demanding at least some reward for the fact that living only produces more questions. My soul teases me: Wouldn’t it be great if I just handed you your favorite drink, told you all God’s secrets, then watched you fall asleep forgetting them all?
