All the Talking
If I said it once, I probably said it a thousand times. Just ask my ex-wife. She can likely still hear the echoes of my desperate need to be heard, and my fear in allowing things which are beyond my control to play out. Nothing scares a man or a woman like an unwritten script right before the curtain ascends. I was such a great performer and would say my lines fifty ways before I’d listen to any of my castmates. Yet I never even directed the play. The run of my big starring role seems to be coming to an end. I still like the sound of my own voice but now find I have very little to say. So I simply close my mouth, allowing the creator of this production to do most of the talking.
