All of This
After all the talking
has finally died down,
I remember everything not said,
and the pauses between the words
which contain the real mystery.
And then upon waking,
I begin collecting
what my dreams leave behind,
before adding them to this page.
Tomorrow I will do this again
and the day after…
All of this—
my sleeping,
my dreaming,
my waking,
my writing,
my forgetting,
is nothing but faith,
save a smidge of obligation.
“Come to the light,”
says the darkness.
How can I resist?
