Year End
A strange Christmas Poem.
At last it arrives, whatever you’ve been expecting, what you said you really wanted alongside what you don’t want from any unavoidable surprise. The holidays may be delivered neatly wrapped in pretty paper, but they often visit with company in the form of mild disappointment that can linger during a long week lasting from Monday ’till Sunday. O, ‘tis true! Somewhere it’s summertime, but first you must endure this damn winter weather with no remedy until spring. Try to persevere, knowing this long season is often followed by good news, coming on the last day of the month, during the wee hours of night, at the tolling of the clock.
