...is calling you forth.
This morning I sit in my tiny log cabin somewhere next to I-70 in Southern Illinois. I can hear the trucks barreling down the wet asphalt, already late to St. Louis. I also hear birds in their nests chirping breakfast orders to other birds flitting about. Outside it’s drizzling, cool but not cold. Inside I make tea to warm and to wake. I think I’ll sit and wait for the hour to call me forth, as I count all the spiders and begin to plan my day.
