I want to shake the tree of sentimentality until all its leaves fall to the ground. Then, laid bare and spindly, everyone will see right through it. If anyone must, they can collect the leaves and pile them with their other grievances, until they too no longer care. I have a new task - to stop making myself suffer with the guilt of not suffering.
