Too much.
TOO MUCH!
Sometimes life
is just too much.
But this too much
is often unrecognized,
certainly unacknowledged,
and not seen
for the violence it creates
in our lives
and on our planet.
Too much
bloats my stomach
adding unwanted pounds.
Too much
creates stress
at home and at work.
Too much
promotes neglect
of everything else
starving for my attention.
Too much
fills this world
with things that don’t belong,
threatening the existence
of everything else that does.
Too much
is a sad ending
unto itself.
