Thirst for More
We only need to look at each other
to see too much,
in our bloated faces,
in our blank stares -
that we are all lost in our phones,
while dressed as billboards
for our overlords.
The remedy for too much
seems to be more.
But in those glimpses of sobriety
we learn it is spiritual abundance
which ultimately quenches
our tremendous thirst for more.
The giant chasms in our souls
contain the secrets of this Universe.
No amount of consumption can fill them.
We must let go of everything
so that we may float across.
