The Silent Songs
…we’re all singing.
Surely there are silent songs sung everywhere simultaneously, on Sundays and Wednesdays, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, by sopranos and tenors, on empty sidewalks, in suburban forests, in the cars stalled on crowded super highways. Surely there’s a silent song in a story that makes us sad, in a kiss of sweet chocolate, or in a silly little poem seeming to suggest the whole world is singing from the same song book: Being.
