The Divinity of Water
Take me to a lake, to a river, and then to the ocean. I want to experience water. Bottles and faucets are no longer enough. I need to see water falling from the sky, and to feel those big drops running down my forehead. Simply talking about water does nothing to quench my thirst. Showers, fountains and pools are domesticated water. I want to go and discover the wild water’s edge, and to know viscerally that I am surrounded. I want to feel overwhelmed, by the size and depth of water, while I marvel at the power of the wind and the moon to make water rise and fall. I came to land from the water. Thus wherever I am, water is.
