Take You
The world is a fearsome place.
It is full of grandeur
overwhelming our senses.
Yet within all the beauty
is a bloody mystery
we call death.
There’s a growing arsenal
with which we combat dying,
but nothing works better
than our complete surrender
while trusting the Dalai Lama
when he says with a smile,
Death is only a change of clothes.
So be patient.
Be like a child
who does not need to be told
there is a God.
Take the beauty,
take the pain,
then let the mystery take you.
