Stepping

Action arising from contemplation...

What to do?
I’m gripped by uncertainty.
Necessity is action,
not urgency.
Urgency is a match
next to a puddle of gasoline.

Stepping is easy
when my next step is obvious,
and when I can see exactly
where to place my feet.

Sometimes a second opinion
is helpful and advised,
if coming from someone
safely distant from my urgency.

After a few deep breaths
I can hear the Great Spirit
urging me to trust
my deeper intuition.
