Our Feelings

...are always changing.

Brothers and sisters,
it is the passage of time
which trims our memories,
making them appear a sepia tone
within our super-saturated present.

Still there’s so much to see
hidden in all of those memories!

Through the lens of time
our feelings become familiar.
They may even become friendly,
showing us the way ahead
in trying and turbulent times.

There will always be
new situations and feelings,
but don’t ever forget
the library stored in your heart.
Let it become a resource
lending you patience and love
to move forever forward.
