Oh God! You devil. You sneak up on me when I am unaware, which these days, seems like most of the time. I always recognize your voice because it comes from my heart and not from my head, where I keep at my peril all the simple and easy truths. It’s the summertime, so you come nearer still, like the sun, like the heat, like the bright light of noon. I feel your presence here because my life is becoming ever more precious to me.
