I draw a circle on the ground, then step inside and wait. I delay as long as possible before stumbling out, unable to hold the center. I draw a larger circle, and then another, before yet another. I’m forever waking at the edge of my being ready to topple over, under, through, out, into a larger sphere. My friends, I offer you what my life has shown to me: The center never holds. It never holds.
