Now I Know
...pretty much who I am.
Next week
it’ll be Thursday again,
and though I may not be
exactly the same then,
I’ll bet I’m close to it.
It’s taken a few years,
but at last I’ve come to know
pretty much who I am.
More and more often,
I find myself letting go
of who I thought I was
or one day have to become.
This past Monday
I think I heard my soul
out singing in the rain.
Now that’s new.
