My Emotions
Some mornings I struggle to castoff the blankets in which I’ve become entwined during a restless, and tumultuous night. Was I hot and then cold? Or did my dreams have me spinning? So it is the same with my emotions. Often, the more positive ones seem to pass right through me. But then I also get wrapped up in my fears and anger, to the point I wrestle just to shrug them off, carrying my burdens night into day. This life, and its difficult experiences, are good teachers. They tell me to let go, then point me back to the Earth. I hear their wisdom urging me to remain grounded, and to witness the beauty everywhere ascending toward the Heavens, through God’s own light, both absorbed and reflected.
