He’s over 200 pounds of pure love.
But that’s not an ounce more or less,
than an ant or an elephant.
I know he’s full of love
because I’ve known him 30 years,
which is more than enough time
for friends to test the boundaries of love.
He’s got a giant heart
necessary for all of his excesses,
and still he generously shares himself
through curiosity, laughter, and optimism.
Like everyone else,
some things were given to him
and others he had to learn.
Now he’s got a surplus of love
which he’s pouring into his kids.
