I Used to Know
I did.
I used to know. I used to know exactly what’s next, who to call, how to get there, and when to arrive. All you had to do was ask me or tag along. I’d willingly share my certainty. I used to know because others knew and told me what I should know, what I ought to expect. Now I admit to you, I’ve learned a few things about knowing and about not knowing. You can still count on me to arrive on time, but don’t be surprised when I tell you I don’t know.
