Going There
Leave the markets arguing.
Inevitability or maybe gravity,
and the softer side of death
will wipe all ledgers.
Turn towards the ineffable.
You will know it by the overwhelm you feel,
the absolute futility of trying to explain it,
and the popular calls for jubilee.
We see nothing
when we refuse to look.
How else to explain
despots and dictators,
bland and derivative art,
sunrises unnoticed,
addiction unabated.
Let me reassure you
there are flowers everywhere,
crystal clear waters,
food a-plenty,
songs with all the right notes,
and singers who know
where wisdom resides.
Going there means going inside.
Dig to discover your generative soul.
