Gloria Steinem kissed me. It’s true. I remember it vividly - going to the Unitarian Church, listening to her speak, then greeting her afterwards, at which moment our eyes met and she kissed me tenderly. I recall feeling elated, though I cannot recollect whether she kissed me on the lips. I suppose it doesn’t really matter so much as the memory of my thrill at having been touched by such a beautiful, strong, and wise woman.
