Forgiveness is like the rainy season. It is expected, but may not come this year, or even the next. Still it will one day come in a downpour called grace, and come more suddenly than that moment when the sun disappears behind the clouds. Do not hold your breath. Do not wait for forgiveness to come looking for you. Go forth in love, and take nothing for granted, except God’s love of everything and gift of forgiveness to you.
