Forgive Me Another Day
The mountain range looms, a giant black shadow against the pale blue sky. Pink light silhouettes the craggy rocks, forming the sun god’s morning halo. It wasn’t the light which called me to this day, rather my grumbling stomach refusing last night’s dinner and angrily denying me sleep. So I get up, make a cup of tea and say my apologies with some oatmeal. Then I sit down, allowing the sun god to forgive me another day.
