Please,
help me write this poem.
I’m not certain
how to begin
or where to find
the very first line.

That first line
is the baited hook
that catches a great fish,
and the second
is a tiny boat
set loose in open water.

The third,
the fourth,
the fifth,
tell the story
in a lyrical song.

The sixth and seventh
bring the boat
back to safe harbor
right before the sunset.

And the eighth
is simply a kiss
before bedtime.
