Falling Water
...is washing over me.
Whenever I tell the story of who I think I am, my first task is always to dig into the past or gaze into the future for the smart words my ego would approve. They sound like this: I am from here, by way of these people, and grew up doing what made me who I am. And if I could divine the future of my life I am certain I would have it made, because of all those difficult things I’ve faced until this day. But it no longer matters if my words can persuade. I know my life is only falling water, washing over me.
