Every Detail Is Grace
The kind of emptiness
that clears away thoughts
and awakens dreams
sometimes drains the ink
from my pen
causing syllables to tumble
into silence.
Not all space is a void.
There is music without notes,
and being without awareness.
This human life is a gift
and a curse.
We cannot know
all the ingredients
the right amounts,
what spices to add
or how long to bake it.
Every detail is grace,
especially the power
to author life in others.
How can all this be possible
with everything as source
and no one thing becoming
the destination?
