Down to the River
...a good meetin’ place.
It’s that space
between spaces,
intangible,
impossible,
probably fleeting,
yet undeniable
even if
indescribable.
That’s why
you’re here
and I’m here.
Our hunger
brings us together
with whispering impulses
only our souls
can hear.
One day
we will blink
and be transported
in a flash of light
to the center
of all being.
Until that day,
let us go down to the river
and pray for love.
