Clearheaded
...and witness to the natural harmony
In a dream state I hastily scrawled red words into my black notebook. But now that I’m awake I cannot remember the source of my bitterness, and I won’t allow anger to write this poem. Maybe deep sleep is akin to the eating of a lotus leaf, that ancient but lost ritual known as conscious forgetting, or of allowing the past to pass. When I refuse to push back, nothing can push on me. It simply flows right through.
