Change of Heart
It just takes a beat.
There comes a point in every child’s development when he begins to recognize his being is also physical, and she can repeatedly impact her environment in all sorts of fun ways. It starts innocently, perhaps with throwing a ball over and over again. Slowly, this realization becomes fixed in the psyche, as the child grows larger by pushing further out and into the world. This outward push continues, perchance until a brush with death or some other awakening comes, when the forgotten child realizes her true impact on the world can be magnified and multiplied by redirecting that outward push inward toward a change of heart.
