Brilliance

How fragile is the true me?
The tide licks the sands, people on the strand, raging is the band.
All round me is wealth; keen are those who have it.
Practice stealth and you may have it, but beware those who grab it.
No, never mind me, how fragile is the true me?
Work sucks me in, keepin’ busy in the raging din.
No need for money, except maybe to find a honey.
That lust kills the feeling, awake staring at the ceiling, say
your prayers kneeling.
Wealth would kill me. How fragile is the true me?
Notice the difference in the people: skin, hair, eyes, steeple.
It takes so little to sway me, don’t forget the late fee, ass-out
and crazy.
Wanderlust a nemesis, how fragile is the true me?
Precarious as falling in love, tighter than a leather glove,
simple, white, floating drug
Change for its own sake or not at all, variations in the design
are the artist’s call.
To find happiness in chaos is no small task, eternity in the
present and the person behind the mask.
I’m told that there is a right way, each day.
The gods favor those who die young.
How fragile is the true me?
