Be very quiet.
Tip toe.
Try not to make a sound.
The prophets are watching you
like a lion stalks her prey.
They’re searching for those
ready to become the feast.
Some prophets appear
like an oncoming train.
Others are more subtle
like one drink too many.
You will know mealtime has come
when the prophets make a toast
to your fearless nature,
to your good health,
wishing you bon voyage!
I don’t know what happens next.
