Brian’s collected pieces, volume by volume.
This morning I think about snow, about the stillness everywhere, even in the big city, when the flakes are falling. On the beaches of Miami nothing is known of the Midwestern snow, how like rum and a waning moon it brings a blanket of silence. Mother Earth gives us cold and hot in equal measure and amazing symmetry. As the inches, then the years accumulate, it is enough for me to quit counting, that I may take my place in this mystery.
